One-Minute Resets
There are days when everything feels like a bit too much.
Perhaps your shoulders are tense, your thoughts are racing, or you’ve spent hours at your computer.
Or maybe you’ve been trying to keep on top of symptoms, appointments, decisions and everything else life asks of you.
These short audio practices aren’t designed to fix those problems. They’re simply an opportunity to pause for a minute, notice how you’re feeling and take a brief break from whatever you’re doing.
One-Minute Resets
There are days when everything feels like a bit too much.
Your shoulders are tense.
Your thoughts are racing.
You’ve been sitting at your computer for hours.
Or you’ve simply spent the day trying to keep on top of symptoms, appointments, decisions and everything else life asks of you.
These one-minute practices aren’t designed to fix any of that.
They’re simply small moments where your mind and body don’t have to carry quite so much.

This isn't another routine to get right
Even looking after yourself can start to feel like hard work when you’re already managing so much.
Another habit. Another checklist. Another thing to remember. I don’t want these practices to become that.
You don’t need to listen to them all, use them every day or feel that you’re doing anything wrong if they don’t make a difference. They’re simply here for whenever one feels useful.
Choose whichever practices feel comfortable for you, and feel free to adapt or skip anything that doesn’t suit you.
Listen first
A short introduction from Jo explaining how to use these one-minute practices and what to notice.
Choose what feels right today
Feeling low or foggy?
Morning Light Reset
A gentle way to help you ease into the day when everything feels slow to get going.
Feeling scattered?
Grounded Feet Pause
A simple pause when your attention feels pulled in too many directions.
Holding tension?
Shoulder Drop
For those moments when you suddenly realise you’ve been carrying the day in your neck and shoulders.
Moving between tasks?
Walk to the Kettle Reset
A small pause between one thing and the next.
Too much screen time?
Window Gaze
A gentle way to widen your focus after concentrating for too long.
Breathing feels shallow?
Hand-to-Heart Pause
A quiet reminder to slow down for a moment.
Mind won't settle?
4-6 Breath
A simple breathing exercise for those moments when your thoughts feel busy.
What might you notice?
You might find your shoulders soften, your breathing slows or your thoughts feel a little less busy.
Or you might not notice much at all.
That’s fine. These aren’t treatments, and they’re not designed to create dramatic changes in sixty seconds.
They’re simply small pauses you can use whenever you feel like taking one.
A note from Jo
When you’re living with ongoing illness, even the things you do to look after yourself can become another demand on your time and energy.
I think it’s important to have things in life that don’t require a great deal of effort, planning or commitment.
These recordings are one small example.
And if you’ve reached the point where managing your health or everyday life feels overwhelming, sometimes it helps to have a proper conversation about the bigger picture.
That’s what I offer through my one-to-one sessions: a chance to talk things through, consider what matters most and explore ways to make life a little more manageable.
